Thank you for visiting. My name is Hibiki Mishima, and I am both the representative director of SEIEN CO., LTD. and a professional go player.

I started this company to approach go from an angle nobody has tried yet. Go is a part of Japanese culture with a long history behind it, and it is losing players year by year. I did not want to accept that quietly.

The name Seien takes the board as a vast night sky and the stones as stars set into it, and it carries a wish: that go should tie people together in ways that matter.

I have seen that happen more times than I can count. Someone I met over a board turns up at a tournament ten years later and we pick up where we left off. Two strangers discover they both play, and the distance between them collapses in a single sentence. Go has a way of connecting people that I do not think anything else quite matches.

What we are building is more of those moments. Alongside that, I intend to put real effort into the conditions young professional players work in — better study environments, and tournaments made for them — and to make that support something that lasts rather than a gesture.

I am looking forward to what go becomes next, and to meeting you somewhere along the way.
